It should come as no surprise that my next ASL game is going to be Shanghai in Flames, from the '97 Annual. Designed my Kevin Meyer, this one pits two relatively equal all-infantry forces against one another. It looks to be a promising game! I've filmed my setup/analysis but won't post it until after we've played, or day of. I have had the board on my table for a few days now and keep wanting to tweak things, but decided to relent and leave things as they are. If I made mistakes I'll learn from them in play.
The ROAR balance for this one is 43-28 in favour of the Chinese; of course I'm looking at it and pissing myself in fear of deathless zombie Japanese. We'll see how it goes.
As for what's coming up on the ASL horizon, the following are the next few upcoming scenarios:
WCW10 Stand and Die
A101 The Drive for Taierzhuang
A87 The Grand Canal
CH25 Land of the Khan
